Designed for the Deutscher Werkbund Pavilion an the World Exposition, Barcelona, 1929, this model is generally referred to as the "Barcelona stool".
As with the "Barcelona chair" the square upholstery detailing is attributed to Lilly Reich. The stool was first produced by Berliner Metallgewerbe Joseph Muller. In 1931, the production passed to Bamberg Metallwerkstatten, Berlin.
23" x 21" x 14.5"h
Frame in chrome plated flat steel,seat padded and upholtered in leather, detailed in squares.
Thickness of cushion about 3".
Suspended on leather belts.
