These benches do not appear in any literature about Mies' work. At least to our knowledge. The design however is quite a clever modification of the Barcelona Bed. The benches can be used in any situation where comfortable seating is not required, such as museums, shops etc...

African ramin hardwood frame with protective clear lacquer finish; cowhide leather straps; rubber webbing; polished stainless steel legs; high-resiliency urethane foam with Dacron fiberfill; Spinneybeck? Volo leather upholstery.
